It's OFFICIAL........

The Stryker School Board met on December 5th. There was discussion about placing the Levy on the ballot for the election to be held in the spring. The board voted and approved "the resolution placing a 5yr, 5.8mill Emergency Levy on the March 6th Ballot. This levy would generate $335,000.00 per year if it passes. The disheartening aspect is that even if the levy passes in March, reductions will continue to take place for 2012 school year."

So, the work continues. I urge anyone who has questions to come forward! Comments can be left on the blog and we will get answers. There will be some who are still under financial constraints who don't feel able to vote yes. But I know from the levy defeat in the fall, that there are some who either didn't vote, or voted no because of incomplete information. Let us continue the discussion!! There are many who will work tirelessly to get the word out... to share accurate information... BECAUSE we believe in the mission of our school. We BELIEVE in our community.

If you want to get involved, Levy Committee meetings will be posted here and on Facebook. Come help lend your voice to this worthy cause... Our children are worth it.

WE make the difference. For the sake of our children, PLEASE vote YES on March 6th. Together we CAN make a difference.
